Skew lines | Noncoplanar lines that are not parallel and do not intersect. |

Parallel planes | Planes that do not intersect. |

Transversal | A line that intersects two or more coplanar lines at distinct points. |

Adjacent angles | Two coplanar angles that have a common side and a common vertex but no common interior points. |

Alternate Interior angles | Nonadjacent interior angles that lie on opposite sides of the transversal. |

Alternate Exterior angles | Nonadjacent exterior angles that lie on opposite sides of the transversal. |

Same-side Interior angles | Interior angles that lie on the same side of the transversal. |

Same-side Exterior angles | Exterior angles that lie on the same side of the transversal. |

Corresponding angles | Lie on the same side of the transversal and are in the same position. |

Vertical angles | Two angles whose sides form two pairs of opposite rays. |

Exterior angle of a polygon | An angle formed by a side and an extension of an adjacent side. |

Remote interior angles | Two interior angles that are nonadjacent to the exterior angle. |

Triangle Angle-Sum Theorem | The sum of the measures of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees. |

Triangle Exterior Angle Theorem | The measure of each exterior angle equals the sum of the measures of its two remote interior angles. |
